The Disney Visa card. You have heard about it I am sure. If not, where have you been? If you are reading this blog post, then you are a Disney fan, or preparing to go on a Disney vacation, and this card right here, is a secret weapon you want in your pocket.
The Disney Visa credit card is offered through Chase Bank. You can apply for them in the branch or online (again, please use our affiliate link right here: https://www.referyourchasecard.com/200/864S2OE2BB)
There are two different versions of this card, the Disney Visa Card and the Disney Premier Visa Card. Most of the benefits overlap for both cards, but the premier does have a few extras that may or may not be worth the $49 annual fee price tag.
Annual Fees
Straight forward information right here.
Disney Visa: $0
Disney Premier Visa: $49
New account bonus
Again, this one is pretty straight forward.
Disney Visa: $100, after 1st purchase.
Disney Premier Visa: $250, must spend $500 in the 1st three months.
Rewards Card, not cash back (Disney Reward Dollars)
The Disney Visa cards are not cash back cards. These are reward cards, specifically Disney Reward Dollars. This means, you will not be redeeming your points for a statement credit (unless you have the premier and you are using it for airfare reimbursement). You will be getting a fancy card in the mail, separate from your credit card, that you can use to spend these points online, in the parks, at the resorts, on the cruise ships, or even checking out Disney movies in theaters.
This is one way to truly make sure you use those rewards points strictly for your vacation and no where else…because you can essentially only spend them at Disney.
Disney Visa: 1% with no limits or expirations
Disney Premier Visa: 2% on grocery, restaurant, gas stations, and most Disney locations. 1% on everything else. Also, no limits or expirations.
Card Design Options
The designs are constantly changing, and the current options are featured at the top of this post.
However, a great perk is that you can change your card design at anytime, or as many times, for no additional cost.
Extra Disney Visa Card Perks
Card Member Special Financing
0% financing for 6 months on Adventures by Disney packges, Aulani vacation packages, and Disney Cruise Line packages.
With how far in advance those trips are planned and paid for, having an extra six months to pay those balances without paying any interest is a big cost saving perk.

Save 10% at select Disney resort restaurants, 10% at select Disney shopping locations, and 10% at Disney stores and on shopdisney.com (conditions apply).
Save 15% on select Disney private tours, 15% at select spa and salon locations, and 20% on Joffrey Coffee!
Card Member Exclusives
Card members have access to special photo opportunities at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
Card members get access to special events at Disney stores. Gaining exclusive access to some of the hottest items before anyone else can get their hands on them.
Card Member Bonuses!
Disney will run special promotions from time to time for their Disney Visa card members, and right now is one of the best ones.
You can save up to 35% on select Walt Disney World vacation packages!
Thirty!
Five!
Percent!
With the cost of a 5-night package ranging from $1,150 to $3,300 (before food, travel expenses, and souvenirs) , saving 35% would save you anywhere from $400 to $1,100. That is BIG money!
Verdict:
Get it! If you are a Disney fan, and you are going to take a Disney vacation, get the card. I can’t necessarily see the value in a Disney Premier Visa card. As I don’t believe the perks are worth the $49 annual fee. However, the Disney Visa card, with no annual fee. With the ability to get exclusive photo ops, small discounts on food and merch, and HUGE discounts on Disney vacation packages! Not to mention 0% financing for six months on Disney Cruises. Get it!
