Character Meal Review: Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera

Let’s be real for a moment. I’m taking the magic out, and I am telling you that most character meals are overpriced. Disney knows they can charge a ton of money because you will pay extra so you don’t have to wait in line to meet a character, and you get a little more intimate interaction, and it is all done while you wait/eat your meal.

Topolino’s Terrace though…it is a steal of a deal. The meal, the characters, the ambiance, and the views make this the BEST character meal in all of Walt Disney World!

Overview

There are no flaws with this character meal, and there is no one that won’t enjoy it. The food, the characters, the view, and the ambiance are all amazing! If you can ride the Skyliner over, now you are talking about a very scenic view to and from your meal as well. This is the number one character meal we recommend to all our clients, and it is the one we try to hit up every time we visit. We aren’t the only ones that think this.

Now, Topolino’s is not cheap, and you need to understand that going into it.

Adults are $45.00 each, and kids are $29.00 each. Those prices do not include specialty coffees or breakfast cocktails. It is very much worth the money, we just want you to understand what it is going to cost going into it.

Characters

The characters at Topolino’s are Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy. They are all in the Riviera outfits, which all have a very European vibe (as in the French Riviera) . Everyone has a very artistic side to what they are wearing, and it is a very unique style for all of these characters.

During Covid era of this meal, the characters would come out to an announcement and their own music. They would walk around waving. Then all the characters would come out and dance too. The character interactions are back to normal now. They come around to your tables to interact with just you, and they will probably only come around once each while you are there. However, you will get much more time with them than they gave during the Covid era.

Food

The food at Topolinos is one of a kind, this is the run of the mill breakfast spread you see at some of the other character breakfasts. Here you are delighted with sweet dishes such as sour cream waffles with, savory quiche, or perfectly cooked steaks. Even the kids mickey waffles are taken up a notch with the fun presentation and array of dipping sauces. At Topolinos you order one entree and are able to order a “side” portion of any of the other entree’s as well. So if you can’t decide, thats ok!

We would not be surprised if this character meal eventually became the most expensive character breakfast in all of Walt Disney World, simply because the quality of the food is that strong.

Overall

Topolino’s Terrance is one of the most difficult character breakfast to snag, but if it can be worked in, and a reservation can be grabbed, you go and enjoy. It will be the best family dinning experience you have on your trip. As always, we offer dining reservation help to all of our clients that book with us, including alerts from a service that provides us with notifications of cancellations for those super hard to snag reservations.
